Made from stainless steel brackets, this transom saver hardware kit puts the stress of a bouncing motor onto your trailer and off of your transom. Easy to put on and easy to take off, this transom saver is your hunting rig's new best friend.

We recommend a 1in x 1in x 48in Aluminum square tube.

Box Includes:

1- Lock Nut
2- Motor Mount Brackets
2- Trailer Mount Brackets
2- Mounting Bolts
2- Lock Pins

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Tools needed:  Drill, 1/4" drill bit, 5/6" drill bit, 7/16 socket and 7/16 wrench, measuring tape, hacksaw, safety glasses and gloves

Step 1 - Install the Trailer Mount.

Measure to the center of the trailer; Using the trailer mount bracket as a guide and a 1/4" drill bit, drill through the top hole and attach the trailer mount bracket with a bolt. With the bracket still attached, drill through the bottom hole and insert the second bolt and tighten both bolts.

Step 2 - Install the Motor Mount Bracket:
Use the Extra nut provided

Step 3 - Measure the Tube

Place one end of the tube into the trailer mounting bracket and attach with a lock pin. With the motor in "travel lock" position, measure and mark the tube at the middle point of the motor mount bracket.
NOTE: sometimes cutting the tube up to 1/4" longer helps to put a little "tension" on the swivel which will help to keep the motor aligned while in the travel position

Step 4 - Cut the Tube and Drill a New Hole

Using a hacksaw, or circular saw, or band saw cut the tube where marked. Place the tube in the trailer mounting bracket with lock pin and align with the holes in the motor mount bracket. Using the motor mount bracket's holes as a guide, drill a new hole in the tube.

Step 5 - Lower the Motor

Connect the tube to the motor mount bracket with the second lock pin. Unlock the travel lock device and lower the motor trim down until it fully rests upon the transom saver.

WARNING - Be sure to disconnect both ends of the transom saver when unloading your boat
